How we pick products
Short version: we only list a product after opening its Amazon page and confirming it's real, in stock and well reviewed.
Our checklist
- Find candidates. We start from Amazon's public Best Sellers lists, retailer announcements and seasonal gift demand.
- Open the product page. We confirm the exact item exists, the title matches, and the page has an active Buy button. If we can't verify it, we skip it.
- Check the reviews. We look for products with strong customer feedback, but we don't show star ratings or review counts on our pages. Open the listing to read them.
- Check the price on Amazon. We don't print prices, because they change. The button opens Amazon's current price.
- Write the one-line reason. The "Why we picked it" note comes from the listing details and who the product suits.
What this is not
We can't test every product ourselves. Our notes are based on listings, specifications and public ratings, not hands-on lab testing. We say so rather than pretend otherwise.
Money and independence
Links marked (paid link) may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Commission doesn't buy a spot on a list, and we don't accept payment for placement. See the disclosure.
Freshness
Each guide shows when we last checked. Products and prices change, so we re-check before big sale weekends. Spot something out of date? Tell us.
